MY WEIGHTLOSS JOURNEY
Seriously deliberating if to make my weightloss journey private or public, But i know i have to put it out there as i am not alone in this journey. If i ever feel like quitting again i have a huge online support to cheer me on right??
I HAVE DECIDED TO TRY AGAIN FOR THE LAST TIME
Weightloss is a very touchy subject, and i have to be very mindful about my approach with this post as i don’t want to be offensive to anyone. I have never liked my weight, i have always wanted to loose weight and have at least an average BMI.
IF YOU CAN’T STOP THINKING ABOUT IT, THEN YOU MUST DO IT.
For over 4 years now, if not more i have wanted to loose weight, i start and then 2 weeks later i stop as i was chasing results. I know i have spent a lot of money on this weightloss issues, i have tried any shake that you can think if. Guess what once u stop the shake you pile the weight back on if not more!.
Rewind back to March this year, i had a lot of visits to the hospital, When the Doctor checked my blood pressure, she paused and asked me if i was on medicine for blood pressure?? I looked really baffled as i wasn’t aware my Blood pressure was high to the point of needing medication. Her Exact words to me follows!!
You are way too young to be put on any medication, you just have to be healthy!!
I got home that day without even discussing what happened with the Doctor, Later on that day my mate sent a picture of a girl we once knew and how much weight she had lost, I immediately followed her and stalked all her pictures, At the same time sobbing. I let myself cry because i knew deep inside of me i needed a change.
IF NOT NOW THEN WHEN???
Something clicked in my head, i went back to the gym after not going for over 3 months, I reached out to one of the personal trainers. We had a consultation and he asked me what my aim was?? I quoted back what the doctor had recommended and how i needed to be healthy. He assured me that we can do it and we booked for our first session.
I have now been training at the gym 4-5 times a week for 5 weeks and i train with my personal trainer twice a week, which by far has been the longest i have stuck to any weight-loss regimen.
I am getting healthy because i do not want to be on any medication, I want to feel lighter, i want to be active and be able to run.
With healthy eating and training hard, i hope on my next check up with my doctor she will assure me that my blood pressure was low and i didn’t need any medication. I didn’t like how i felt about my weight so i am changing it. I am hoping to do a weekly update of my weightloss journey.
If you have any TIPS, ADVICE, RECOMMENDATION, i am very happy to hear it.
